The University Honors Program (UHP) offers students many of the benefits of a small college experience within the context of a major research university.
The program's multifaceted approach to learning provides students three distinct pathways to becoming part of this prestigious honors program. They are:
- The Davis Honors Challenge (DHC) offers a unique, four-year comprehensive honors experience to challenge, motivate, and assist students in developing “real-world” skills through interactive, discussion-based honors courses and seminars featuring collaborative multi-disciplinary team projects.
- The Integrated Studies Honors Program (ISHP) focuses on the freshman year, laying the groundwork for doing individual research projects in the upper division. The DHC and ISHP programs are compatible with any major.
- The Chemical Engineering and Biochemical Engineering Honors Program is designed for majors within the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science.
